Frequently Asked Questions

What is NeoGraft?

The NeoGraft Hair Replacement System is a unique device that uses the FUE (follicular unit extraction) method to quickly harvest individual hair follicles from the donor area.  The same device is then used to place the follicles along the front of the hairline where the balding is occurring.  NeoGraft is a great alternative to traditional hair transplantation methods, as it doesn’t involve surgery, stiches, or obvious plugs to achieve results.

Is NeoGraft Right For Me?

NeoGraft is designed to serve as many candidates as possible.  The most ideal candidates are those who meet the following criteria:

  • You have sufficient donor hair on the back of the scalp (this will be placed around the front of the hairline)
  • Your hair loss is limited to the front of your scalp
  • You have realistic expectations for this procedure

If you have any questions about whether or not you’re a good candidate for this procedure, schedule a consultation here.

How Does NeoGraft Work?

The NeoGraft procedure quickly harvests hair from the back of the scalp and transplants them to the front of the scalp. The implanted hair follicle will stay in place for about two to three weeks before shedding.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Within three to four months, your new hair will start to grow in.  As a result, your hair will look thicker and much more natural.

Should I Shave My Head?

Not necessarily.  If you have long hair in the donor region of your scalp, it’s easy to shave a small section and get the hair follicles necessary for the procedure.  If you currently have a buzzcut, your NeoGraft technician may shave the follicles even closer to get ideal results.
